My Best Charity Shop Buys & Finds
Missoni, stuffed animals, rare board games, Lego, a dream bag, a weird camel + more
Morning! Here are my best most recent charity shop buys and finds. There are some goodies!
Often in a charity shop my hand hovers over an item which looks like Missoni but isn’t. Happily last week’s hover turned out to be real, and a steal at £8.50. I found it in a charity shop usually stuffed with rubbish from Shein, though lately it has been turning out some real gems.
Didn’t buy these but in a weird twist of fate my friend Gary visited me a few days after I took this photo and he’d bought them!
Adventure Time is now vintage and hard to find so chancing upon this in my local Oxfam Books felt triumphant.
Didn’t buy (we already have too many board games), but look at this gorgeous design! A quick glance on eBay shows it sells in the region of £25
Speaking of - the other month I found Adventure Time Monopoly which, it turns out, is super rare. I won’t be selling it (I think my son would actually kill me) though like I’ve said, we do already own a lot of board games —
Bought this gorgeous mini raffia bag from Cos via my local Oxfam. It’s small but mighty and can surprisingly fit in a lot of things
This is everything I have inside it today
Sun cream
Roxy Music water bottle (lol)
My camera
Wipes
Sunglasses
A letter needing to be posted
Googly eyes
Found the last few books in my husband’s favourite comic series. They stopped translating them into English (from French) after book 6 so he now spends his evenings translating every page via Google Translate 😬
An Easter half term blessing - two complete Minecraft Lego sets. I bought only the rabbit one as they weren’t cheap (£15). I’m holding onto it until half term boredom really hits
Lego was one of my main hobbies as a kid and since having my son my Lego interest has really flared up. I’m trying to suppress it but it’s been tricky! I treated myself to an Animal Crossing Lego set and now I’m wondering if it’s possible to become a Lego influencer? That would be my dream job, I think.
Should I have bought this? I’m not a Man United supporter though I do appreciate a good rosette when I see one.
Finally, this weird camel (camel?). It’s been languishing in my local Oxfam for weeks. Unsurprisingly no one wants it
I’ll keep you updated if it ever sells
Omg we had Coppit at home growing up! I haven’t thought of that for years!
I actually love seeing peoples finds in charity shops! I have had Tabby McTat book on my wanted list for a while and I finally found it the other week. I was so happy! I could have easily bought it because it’s obviously not vintage, but there is no frill in that!
The missoni top was an amazing find!
